Kodo Millet Curd rice

500 gms, 1 Kg

Ingredients

Kodo rice – 1 cup

Curd – 3 cups

Cumin,pepper,Mustard,orid dhal – 1 spoon

Chilli – 2

Asafoetida – a small pinch

Ginger – ¼ spoon

Oil – 2 spoons

Curry leaves,Coriander – handful

Pomengranate – a handful (optional)

Steps:

  1. Wash Kodo rice twice and soak it for half an hour
  2. Pressure cook the rice for 4 whistles
  3. Heat a pan and  add oil to it
  4. Add Mustard seed. Let it sprinkle.
  5. Add orid dhal,Cumin,pepper,ginger,Asafoetida and chilli to it
  6. Curry leaves is added followed by cooked rice to it
  7. Add curd and handful of coriander to it
  8. Can add pomengranate and serve with pickle.
